In No. 3 galvanized W.I. ladders, 1'9" overall width, formed of 4"x3" side bars, with 1" dia. double rungs at IO" rise.

Teak doors and frames, with semi-circular heads, 8′9′′ high by 5'0" wide. Frames out of 4"X4" Doors hung in two parts, framed, and ledged in 24" thick timbers with 11 V-jointed, tongued and grooved filling. Frames to be fixed to walls with heavy galvanized wrought iron cramps 24" long about 2 ft. apart and ends of frames to have galvanized iron shoes with stubbs. Complete with heavy bronze butts, tower bolts, locks, keys, and furniture.

Provide lights, 3'0" dia. similar to ship pattern port- holes, strongly constructed of a non-corrosive material and glazed with very heavy plate glass. The whole storm and waterproof.

The prime cost of the 6 Lights manufactured by Messrs. Carron Co., ★★★★★ delivered f.o.b. packed is £120. Contractors to allow for transit, insurance and all expenses for erection complete in every way.

NOTE. The approximate gross dead weight of the 6 Lights is about 15 cwt. Net weight 131 cwt.

Form dog-legged ventilating openings in wall, with 9"x3", brass hit and miss slide gratings.

Provide and place in position steel lattice girder gang- ways, flanges; 12"X" plate, and two 5"x4"x" angles; diagonals: 3"x3"x" angles, with cast iron galvanized plating footway as per detail drawing.

Extra labour only in laying 24" dia. steel pipe between girders and supporting and bracing with 2"x2" x 1" angles. as shewn on Drawing No. 9.

Cut sea walls to erect the girders on padstones lay the 24" dia. pipes, make good, and build pipes and girder ends into bases of valve chambers.

Pipes to be supported on saddle padstones.
